The Metallurgical Gantry Crane is a specialized heavy-duty lifting solution manufactured by Henan Mine, engineered for high-temperature, harsh-environment operations in non-ferrous and ferrous smelting plants, steel mills, and foundries to handle molten metal ladles, hot slag, copper slag, and other high-temperature materials .

This crane features a robust double-girder box-type or truss gantry structure with U-shaped or L-shaped legs to improve ladle passing capacity, redundant safety systems including strong wind alarms, anti-break shaft devices, anti-tipping devices, and overload protection, and is designed with comprehensive heat-radiation protection including fireproof panels and insulation layers at the bottom of main beams, trolleys, and driver's cabins .

The crane meets international standards including JB/T 7688.1-2008 for metallurgical overhead cranes and JB/T 7688.5-2012 for foundry cranes, with typical specifications including lifting capacity from 32 to 320 tons (customizable up to 500 tons), spans from 6 to 24 meters, working duty class A6 to A8, and ambient temperature range from -10°C to +50°C with heat-radiation resistance up to 300°C . It features double girder construction, heat-resistant insulation, spark protection, dual braking systems, and overload protection to safely handle molten metal, ladles, steel billets, slabs, coils, and scrap materials. This crane is widely used for charging furnaces, pouring molten metal, transferring hot ingots, and handling raw materials in extreme conditions. Typical specifications include lifting capacity from 5 to 200 tons, span from 10.5 to 31.5 meters, lifting height from 6 to 20 meters, duty class A6 to A8, power supply 380V/50Hz three-phase AC, and ambient temperature range from -20°C to +60°C.

1.Non-Ferrous Smelting (Copper, Aluminum, Lead, Zinc) – Handles and transports molten metal slag ladles (e.g., copper slag at 1200°C+) from furnaces to cooling areas, with U-shaped leg design allowing trains to operate within the span for direct slag unloading and loading .
2.Ferrous Steel Mill Slag Handling – Lifts and transfers hot steel slag pots from basic oxygen furnaces or electric arc furnaces to slag processing yards, with heat-resistant construction and anti-radiation protection for high-temperature slag handling .

The key structural components such as the main beam and support legs are treated with heat insulation and protective measures, which can withstand high-temperature radiation and ensure long-term stable operation in high-temperature workshop environments.

The linkage console is equipped with a PLC module and a human-machine interface touch screen, and is fitted with a WLK type master command controller. The gears are clear and there is a zero position self-resetting and locking device. The lifting adopts stator voltage regulation and speed control, and the operation adopts variable frequency speed control. The starting and braking are smooth, and the lifted object is accurately positioned.
